A hunting knife/ skinning knife as good as you can get!
This is the notorious damascus steel blade. Also referred to as pattern welded steel. This is top of the line as far as blades go. The process for making the steel dates back before Christ in the middle east.
It is very labor intensive to make the steel, that is why it is so much more expensive.
Oh, but it is so beautiful. This steel is so dense it will hold an edge forever with our cryo treatment.
Manzanita wood grips with four coats hand rubbed linseed oil. It is elegant!
The knife style is referred to as a "clip point".

Here is a heads up! Your tip of the day.
If you want to keep your knife blade sharp (and I know you do), when you are skinning your BIG game, skin it from the underside. If you skin it across the hair or fur, it is the fastest way to dull your knife. DON'T do it.
You'll be a happier hunter at the end of your hunt. Bill
